Question: What does it mean when the battery light goes on, on my 2007 Toyota Yaris?
The battery light just started coming on. It doesn't come on right away, it takes a minute once the car has been started??

Answer: get your alternator checked

Question: 2007 Toyota Yaris, 8k miles, air conditioner has stopped working?
Bought this car 9 months ago and today the AC has stopped working. It blows air, but its not very cool, nowhere close to what it would need to cool down the passenger cabin. What are the possible causes of this after such a short time period? Where is the famed Toyota reliability?

Answer: I have an '06 Corolla and had a similar problem. Vents open, blower on, temp set to 50% cold, only it wasn't getting cold....then I realized that I forgot to press the "AC" button to turn the system on. ...so is it possible you might have forgotten to press the AC button?
If that isn't the case, it is most likely a refrigerant leak in one of the hoses. All it takes is a microscopic pinhole to cause this sort of problem. The leak can also be from a malfunctioned part in the A/C system, probably the coil or compressor.
In the case of the A/C system, Toyota does not make those parts so they have to rely on the supplier to provide quality parts.

Question: Are there two types of toyota yaris?
I saw one on a commercial that in my opinion, was ugly. It was a hatchback type car. But today I saw a toyota car labeled yaris and it was just a cute little car. I loved it!

I'm looking on the toyota website and the only yaris listed is the one I thought was ugly. What is the name of the yaris model that I like?

Answer: It has a Sedan and a Liftback (Hatchback).

Question: What is better a jeep patriot or a toyota yaris?
Thinking of trading in our Nissan maxima for either a jeep patriot or a toyota yaris. Anyone have these vehicles and any advice?The ever climbing never stopping gas prices, I am thinking I would rather have in my pocket then to continually make the oil companies richer.

Answer: well the dealership i work at is a toyota dealership. but you are comparing apples to oranges...the yaris is roomy and great for fuel economy. the jeep has more capacity for hauling bigger items, a little less fuel economy but you get the extra cargo space. they are both great!!!!! good luck!

Question: Does anyone know what size the car seats are in a 2006 Toyota Yaris Yr?
I'm currently looking for car seat covers and have no idea what size to buy. The car I have is a hatchback if that makes a difference. :)

Answer: It's best to get the ones that are specifically designed for the vehicle. I would say check Google and eBay and also check with the Toyota dealership. I have tried so many seat covers on my '07 Yaris Sedan and none of them have fit quite right. The seats are kind of awkward.

Question: I want to buy a 2007 Toyota Yaris. How much will the payments be?
also i'll be trading in a 1998 Saturn SL2, with minor interior damage and a broken fender. the dealer said he'd give me $1500 for it.

Answer: Here's a good rule of thumb to follow. I used to sell cars and this is how you could rough a payment to customers on the lot if need be.
Take the sticker of the car, deduct your trade, Look at the balance, Move the decimal over two places, multiply by 2 and add $20. That will give you a very rough and usually higher than normal payment. But at least you will have an idea.
EXAMPLE:
$15000.00 sticker
-$1500 Trade
=$13500.00
Move decimal left two spaces and multiply by 2.
135.00 X 2 = 270.00
add $20
Gives you a range of:
$280 to $290.
Your payment may be lower if your credit is good but like I said it gives you a rough range without a calculator when shopping. There are websites that will calculate exact payments for you if you know your finance rate.

Question: How to fit the CD player in Toyota Yaris?
i have got Toyota Yaris and it has got cassette player which is ****, so i wanted to changed it to CD player...if possible to do that or not..?if it is could you please tell me how to do it.

Answer: I took mine to get my CD player fitted only this morning but it couldn't just be 'bunged in the appropriate hole', apparently I need to get a Toyota CD player to go with the rest of the sound system or the whole thing will have to be rerouted to my JVC CD player. And even then it may not work properly. Ask your local Toyota service centre.

Question: When did the Toyota Yaris come out?
I thought the car came out last year, but everythime I look it up it only shows cars from 2007. Am I wrong? What happened to last years model?

Answer: The Yaris is a 2007 model that was released early.
This car also replaces the Toyota Echo.(A.K.A. the Toyota Vitz in japan!)

Question: I would like to know if it possible to put a remote car starter on a Toyota Yaris?
I recently purchased one for the wife and was wondering if this is a aftermarket feature that I can have installed?

Answer: Angel's old man is right, As long as it has a auto tranny, hooks right up, and if not, need the clutch switch, and has to me in neutral when starting, All the clutch switch does is bypass the lil switch that sits at the top of the foot peg on the clutch, just two wires easily bypassed

Question: Where can I buy a 2007 Toyota Yaris front bumper for the hatchback?
My roomate wrecked the front bumper and I'll looking to buy a replacement and trying to stay away from the dealership..Any ideas???? I'm trying to make it cheap as possible for him without having to use my insurance

Answer: you maybe able to try a junk yard, but with th car being a 2007 that might be impossible to find.. You may be able to find out if a different make and model will fit your car.. try calling an auto body shop and ask them...but the best bet is either junk yard or the dealership..

Answer: I bought one this year 07' I love it!!! 39 miles to one gallon of gas!!! $ 27.00 bucks to fill it up and that's a 2.89 a gal. and goes for miles.
Everyone who has seen it always wants to know first what it is, and how sharp it looks inside and out. I have never had any problems with power. The only thing neg. I could say is it took awhile for me to get use to the tachometer it's in the middle of the dash.

I'm a guy, and I was wondering what everyone would think about me driving a Toyota Yaris 3 door hatchback

Answer: I have one, I'm a guy, and I found myself asking the same question. I traded in my 01 mustang because of the winters here in WI and got the Yaris, polar white.It took a lot to go from a mustang to a yaris. My friends laughed and said how is it even possible. I will tell you this though: It's not a beautiful car by any means, and people might give you a funny look while driving it, but it's not that bad. It gets great gas mileage and it's actually got a little pep to it. You get a lot of car for around $13,000. I wouldn't stick thousands of dollars into it, but I'm thinking a spoiler, exhaust tip, and blue/white xenon head lights all from TRD and it'll be looking a lot more sporty. Beleive me, when you are low on cash and put 5 bucks in and you get a half a tank or so, you'll be lovin it. Plus all those friends that laughed at me went on a trip across the state in it, in a snowstorm, and now they have a way better opinion of it.

Question: I am considering buyng a Toyota Yaris soon. Can anyone who actually owns one tell me what you think about it?
Just looking for someone who owns one of these to tell me their experience of ownership first hand.

Answer: Very quick to accelerate, scary getting onto highways, a misery to get from a high speed to a higher speed (like 60 to 80), mirrors could be better, roomy driver and passenger space, plenty of front legroom (for people under 6'3" or so), easy to park, easy to control, great gas mileage, cheap service and repairs, not a lot of trunk space (two duffel bags and maybe something else), crappy radio (zero bass and crackling treble), iPod connection that comes with the car (aux plug)...

I don't own one but a close friend does and I've driven it several times for over an hour each time.

Question: How to start my Toyota Yaris Automatic car with low battery?

Answer: did you leave your lights on or something? yaris's are too new to have battery problems already. anyway, get another car to come over with some jumper cables. (any "real" man always carries a set of these!) or if thats not an option, you can get a small battery jump starter from pretty much any store (target, walmart, wallgreens even has them i think). and hook it up and let it charge up your battery. then go to an automotive shop and have them test your battery. whatever you do, once you get it started do NOT turn it off until you get it to a shop!

Question: Changing the odometer from miles to kilometers vice versa for a toyota yaris/vitz?
I noticed in the australian version of this car that their is both a miles and kilometers sitting on the dash, just 1 is highlighted obviously being kilometres from where im from but i figure it must be possible to change to miles if i wished to because the dash has it their.

Does anyone know how to do this? I wanna do it as a prank to a company car

Answer: Might be as simple as pushing a button to change the display to miles from kms.

Question: If i return the 2008 toyota yaris i bought, will it hurt my credit?
i dont want to be paying 389 per month on a 16000 car. ive had the car for less than a month, can i return it or do a trade in for something cheaper? Should i refinance? Please help.

Answer: There is no 'return policy' on cars. Once you bought it, you own it. the likelihood of refinancing at a better rate after only one month is pretty slim.

If you try to trade, you will be financing a ton of negative equity on the next car. I do not advise this unless it is an unavoidable situation (accident or life changing event). If you have simply realized you are paying a lot of money for a car you are no longer in love with, then you are low on options.

I suggest you keep the Yaris, make at least 6-8 months worth of payments, then *maybe* someone will refinance it at a lower rate. Its still going to be a stretch though.
